Methods and permits

In this section we collect the information about the field and lab analysis methods, about the quality assurance (QA) for the project and about the permits and law constraint to which the project is subject.
New developed procedures are to be listed here and all project operators should refer to this page before developing a new procedure.

    > Agricultural Use permit

CompQAP Certification

Southern DataStream participate to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Quality Assurance (QA) Program.

Briefly the QA program requires two types of quality control certifications:

-         A Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) that specifies all sampling and analysis protocols and quality control measures needed to meet the stated project quality objectives.

-         And a Comprehensive Quality Assurance Plan (CompQAP) for all the companies involved in projects that require a QAPP.

I have been working on the requirement to meet the program’s quality standard and to get a Comprehensive Quality Assurance Plan (CompQAP) Certification for Southern DataStream. I submitted the digital application form on may 24,2001.

In this pages I will briefly explain how the CompQAP works, where and how to get more information and which are the procedures we adopt to meet the QA requirements.

Agricultural Use Permit

The application of Waste Water Residuals to an agricultural land require a permit of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). Here are the documents used for the application

    > Permit Form
    > Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.) Chapter 62
(17.9 MB / also stored locally on Backup!)
    > UF/IFAS Standardized Fertilisation Recommandations

Following Site Use Restrictions applies for sites where Class B Residuals are spread, according to rule 62-640.600(3) F.A.C.:

   > Site Use Restrictions
